Model
In this Section is described the visualization of Thermal Models.
As shown in Figure 1, this Section can be divided in 4 parts:
1. In the top left, the Thermal Models Management
2. In the bottom left, the Tree Structure of the selected Thermal Model
3. In the top right, Buttons to control the Thermal Model visualization
4. In the bottom right, the Graphic Area to visualize the Thermal Model

Figure 1
THERMAL MODELS MANAGEMENT
In this Area there are 5 Buttons, 2 Combo Boxes and a Check Box.
Through the first Combo Box it is possible to select the Thermal Model to visualize and to modify
Attraverso il primo Combo Box è possibile selezionare il Modello Termico da visualizzare e da modificare among those available. Each time a Model is loaded through the “I” Button or through the Menu File, the name of this Model is inserted in this Combo Box. Each time a .SPZ file is loaded through the Menu File or through the Menu Window, o a new database .SPZ is created, this Combo Box is updated with Thermal Models present in the new File.
Through the second Combo Box from high, it is possible to select one of the following parameters of the Thermal Model:
1. Absorbivity
2. Emissivity
3. Diffuse absorbivity fraction
4. Diffuse emissivity fraction
5. Mass
6. CP
7. Thickness
8. Side
9. Material
10. Thermal Node Number
Data relative to these parameters are visualized in the second column of the selected Thermal Model Tree Structure. If the Check Box is checked, they are shown graphically in the Graphic Area relative to the selected Thermal Model. The Faces of the Thermal Model are colored based on the value of the parameter selected in the second Combo Box from high.
TREE STRUCTURE
Three Structure is relative to the Thermal Model.
Through this Structure it is possible to deselect Thermal Nodes visualized in the Graphic Area.
Clicking on a branch of the Tree Structure, this branch and all “children” are colored in red and relative Thermal Nodes are not shown in the Graphic Area.
For Faces of the same Thermal Node, it is sufficient that only one of them is selected to visualize the relative Thermal Node in the Graphic Area.
GRAPHIC CONTROL
The Buttons (from left to right) serve to:
1. To change color of the background of Graphic Area
2. Rotation of the Output so as to have the X Axis leftward, the Y Axis upward, the Z Axis outward
3. Rotation of the Output so as to have the Y Axis leftward, the X Axis upward, the Z Axis inward
4. Rotation of the Output so as to have the Y Axis leftward, the Z Axis upward, the X Axis outward
5. Rotation of the Output so as to have the Z Axis leftward, the Y Axis upward, the X Axis inward
6. Rotation of the Output so as to have the Z Axis leftward, the X Axis upward, the Y Axis outward
7. Rotation of the Output so as to have the X Axis leftward, the Z Axis upward, the Y Axis inward
8. Zoom of Output
9. Un-zoom of Output
10. Translation of Output upward
11. Translation of Output downward
12. Translation of Output leftward
13. Translation of Output rightward
14. Restoration of initial values of translation and zoom
15. To save the Image restrained in the Graphic Area
GRAPHIC AREA
In the Graphic Area is visualized the Thermal Model.
Only Thermal Nodes selected through the Tree Structure are visualized.
If the Check Box is checked, data relative to the parameter selected in the second Combo Box from high are visualized, coloring Faces based on value of this parameter. The interpretation of the visualization by the user is assisted by a colored Map which reports a Set of 10 colors and relative values of the selected parameter.
A tern explicates the orientation of the Thermal Model relative to the Thermal Model System of Reference.
If the Check Box is checked, the two sides of the Faces of the Thermal Model are Blue if relative Instance has value “Both” for “Side” parameter, otherwise are one Blue (active) and one Gray (inactive).
